At last night’s virtual STEP Private Client Awards, Cerno Capital won Investment Team of the Year.

Hosted by STEP, the worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations, the Awards are highly regarded as a celebration of excellence across the private client world. All entries go through a rigorous, practitioner-led judging process to select the best in the industry.

This category was sponsored by Katten and had a strong set of finalists, with Cerno beating shortlisted entries from Barclays Private Bank, Odey Wealth, Sanlam and Sarasin & Partners.

Cerno Capital was recognised by the judges “as a nimble firm that really understands what its clients want and delivers on that consistently. Its strong performance demonstrates good management of risk over these quite volatile periods.”

In particular, the award recognised the work of the Cerno Investment Team on the TM Cerno Select strategy – a global multi asset strategy, blending high quality and liquid assets with the aim of preserving and growing capital.

The STEP Awards partnered with the World Literacy Foundation for the event, with donations from entrants and on the night raising over £65,000 for the charity. The World Literacy Foundation helps to lift children out of poverty and transform their lives through literacy and access to educational resources.

We are delighted to have won this award at such an exciting stage in the growth of the firm.

Congratulations to all other finalists and winners in last night’s ceremony, a full list of which can be found here.
