On 18th October 2016, Cerno Capital hosted dinner with Christopher Lockwood, Middle East & Africa Editor of The Economist and previous Deputy Head of Prime Minister’s Policy Unit at No.10.

Christopher Lockwood was previously the US Editor of The Economist from 2006 to 2013; responsible for the magazine’s US coverage and Asia Editor from 2000 to 2006, responsible for covering China, India, Japan and the other 30 countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

His early career started at The Daily Telegraph, including South-East Asia Correspondent, EU Correspondent and Diplomatic Editor. Lockwood had previously been described as “one of the brightest and most insightful people in journalism”.

In May 2013, Christopher became Deputy Head of Prime Minister’s Policy Unit at No.10, Downing Street until May 2015. He focused on the competitiveness agenda including technology, universities and skills, innovation, small business policy, trade policy and energy policy.

Katie is responsible for the firm’s marketing strategy. As part of this role she coordinates public relations and communications and is responsible for the firm’s visual identity and livery. She works alongside the front office on existing and prospective investor contact, including all aspects of the firm’s relationships with intermediaries. Katie manages the firm’s outreach programme which helps UK women athletes, explorers and adventurers and promotes participation and inclusion. Katie previously worked at Savills, and holds an MA in Art History from the University of St Andrews. Katie is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
