Recounting first hand experiences of the Global Financial Crisis when he worked alongside Bob Diamond, and the purchase of Lehman Brothers, Clackson offered close-up insights into crisis management under extreme pressure.

Patrick is now in charge of the remodelling of Barclays Group and has interesting views on the present state of the UK’s financial architecture. Patrick Clackson is Head of Business Transformation for Barclays. Patrick joined Barclays in December 1998 and was CFO of the Investment Bank from 2003 to 2011; COO of Corporate and Investment Banking in 2011 and 2012; and CEO of Corporate and Investment Banking, EMEA in 2012 and 2013.  Prior to Barclays Patrick was CFO at Sumitomo International plc and trained at Coopers & Lybrand.
