Nyetimber

On Tuesday 4th July, we partnered with Nyetimber, the award-winning English sparkling wine maker, to host a Summer Party celebrating 10 years of Cerno Capital. Nyetimber has been producing wines in West Sussex for 25 years and is widely regarded as England’s finest sparkling wine. They aim to make a product to rival the very best in the world, including Champagne.

We see a number of similarities between Cerno and Nyetimber, mainly because both of us are challenger British brands. We believe that both firms are trying to be the best in our respective fields, and in the process, take on and beat – we hope – some of the very big established names.

Hosted in the beautiful space of the Nyetimber Mayfair offices on Sackville Street, guests on the evening drank the Nyetimber Classic Cuvée and Rosé, which were wonderfully accompanied by a selection of canapés designed with the best of British ingredients in mind to best complement the wines. We were also joined by the Oystermeister, shucking fresh oysters for guests.

Julian Kirk, Nyetimber Ambassador, kindly led informal tastings for guests on the evening in their specially designed tasting room during which glasses of their Demi-Sec were served alongside the Classic Cuvée and Rosé, with additional tastings of the Magnum Classic Cuvée.

It was a fantastic summer evening and we were thrilled that so many of our friends and supporters were able to join us. We look forward to the next ten years of Cerno Capital!
